That is no coincidence. Oak is strong, wear-resistant and has a natural appearance that suits many different interior styles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A wooden staircase also has its own character. This is bonded to a 12 mm plywood base layer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a result, the visible surface of the tread is actually made of oak. The natural structure and grain of the wood remain visible in the finished staircase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The front of the tread is finished with a robust 18 mm solid oak nosing. This gives every tread a strong and high-quality finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This combination of real oak and a stable substructure is suitable for daily use and gives an existing staircase the appearance of a completely new wooden staircase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">You can see the difference with real wood<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An important difference between a wooden staircase and an imitation wood finish is the way the material looks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Real oak has a natural grain and subtle differences in texture and colour. This makes every plank and every tread unique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Even when you choose a colour treatment, the structure of the wood remains visible. The result is a wooden staircase that retains a natural appearance rather than a uniform print.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Is oak sustainable?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Oak is known as a strong and durable type of wood. This is important for a staircase because the treads are used every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But sustainability in staircase renovation is not only about the type of wood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By choosing to <strong>renovate instead of completely replacing<\/strong>, the existing staircase structure is retained. Only the visible parts are renewed. We use Rubio Monocoat coloured oil, among other products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This allows you to adjust the colour of the wood without completely hiding its natural appearance. The wood grain and structure remain visible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More than 40 colours are available. This allows you to create a light oak staircase, but you can also choose a warm, dark or modern shade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The colour of the staircase can therefore be matched to the floor, furniture and other wooden elements in the home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Oak overlay treads<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With a staircase renovation, new oak overlay treads are installed over the existing stair treads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The existing staircase therefore usually does not need to be removed completely. This makes staircase renovation an attractive way to give an existing wooden, concrete or other staircase structure a new look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The oak overlay treads are made precisely to measure and then securely attached.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The result is an existing staircase with a completely new wooden finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wooden stair treads for open and closed staircases<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Oak can be used on both open and closed staircases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With a closed staircase, the risers can also be finished with wood. You can choose the same oak colour as the treads, or combine them with white or black risers, for example.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With an open staircase, the spacious appearance is retained. The oak treads add a warm and natural look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Combining oak with lighting and anti-slip<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Practical features can also be incorporated into a wooden staircase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example, we can neatly integrate an anti-slip strip into the oak tread. This rubber strip is routed into the wood, making it an integrated part of the tread.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Staircase lighting can also be combined with an oak staircase. This creates a combination of natural materials, safety and modern technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A wooden staircase that suits your interior<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The strength of oak is that it is easy to combine with different styles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A light oak colour works well with a modern or Scandinavian interior, for example. Darker oak can create more contrast and a more robust appearance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because there are so many options for colour and finish, a wooden staircase does not have to look old-fashioned or classic.
